Design Editor

XO Group Inc. — a lifestage media company including The Knot, The Nest, and The Bump brands —seeks a full-time, Design Editor that will work across all brands. This role will report to the Site Director of The Nest and play a key role in growing the brand.

The ideal candidate will be an extremely creative, organized, detail-obsessed, self-starter with the ability to juggle multiple projects yet stay calm under pressure must be part of your DNA. Most important is that you thrive on being part of a collaborative team and will never say the words “It’s not my job!”

Scope of responsibilities include:
• Overseeing the development of all home-related features 


• Curating home products for The Nest and The Knot’s registry channel


• Reporting on home décor trends


• Conceptualizing and executing editorial photo shoots, straight through to design phase


• Attending industry trade shows and maintaining relationships
• Act as spokesperson for the brand for all external media on home-related topics


Ideal candidate has following skills and mindset:
• Home and lifestyle editorial experience


• Strong writer and experienced editor


• Photo shoot experience essential, styling a huge plus


• Good industry contacts


• Detail oriented and very organized


• Experience in online media
