XO Group Inc. (formerly The Knot, Inc.) is looking for a highly detail-oriented, self-directed team player with excellent verbal andwritten communication skills to gather and document functional requirements for new initiatives and ongoing projects. The Requirements Analyst will work with the business leads, project managers, technology leads and internal engineers to document requirements and translate them into technical specifications, user stories and acceptance criteria. The ideal candidate will be passionate, resourceful, and well organized and have extensive experience working in a collaborative environment and with near-shore and off-shore technical teams. As well, they will possess the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical partners at various levels within the organization.
Responsibilities Include:
· Create and update requirements documentation for projects starting from initial envisioning stages through detailed functional and technical requirements
· Coordinate and facilitate requirements gathering sessions/meetings, including acquiring sign-off from business partners
· Collaborate with our Product Management and Technology team to translate business needs into functional requirements for system development
· Create wireframes of website pages for handoff to our online design team
· Ensure timely delivery of all documentation as well as to provide input into project schedules
· Create process flow and use-case documentation using Visio
· Create user stories and acceptance criteria using MS Team Foundation Server
· Assist in troubleshooting issues and requests from customer service to identify scope and impact
· Work closely with QA and Project team tovalidate test cases and verify testing scenarios
· Coordinate with resources across multiple time zones and cultures
A successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
· 2+ years of experience as a business/requirements analyst in a technical environment
· 2+ years working in a fast-paced, online web application environment
· 2+ years writing technical documentation and gathering requirements
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
· Excellent organizational, diplomatic, and problem-solving skills
· Working knowledge of agile project and software methodologies
· Passionate about internet technologies
One or more of the following are a major plus but not required:
· Prior role as Project Manager or formal Project Management experience
· Prior experience in product management including ROI analysis, customer development, and/or user experience (UX)
· Experience with managing 3rd-party vendor relationships
· Experience with off-shore relationships for execution of project work
· Prior role as developer or working knowledge of specific technology platforms (Java, .NET, SQL Server, etc.)
